Arborea DOC
One of Italy's least used DOCs, covering flat, fertile reclaimed marshland settled by Veneto and Tuscan farmers under Mussolini, which explains the mainland grapes. The intent was simple Sangiovese reds and Trebbiano whites for local tables; almost nobody bottles under the name today, and the area is better known for dairy and Cannonau under other labels. Expect a light, tart, cherry scented red or a neutral white if you ever find one.
