Capriano del Colle DOC
One hill rising out of the Po plain, Monte Netto, gives this DOC its clay and limestone soils. The reds are Marzemino-led blends with Merlot and Sangiovese: medium-bodied, with sour cherry, violet, black pepper and soft tannin. The whites, from Trebbiano di Soave, are light, lemony and slightly bitter. San Michele and Lazzari are the main estates; you'll essentially only find these wines in Brescia restaurants.
