Carignano del Sulcis DOC

Old bush vines of Carignan, many ungrafted on sandy soils near the sea, make Sardinia's most serious red outside the Cannonau heartland. The wines are dark, with blackberry, plum, licorice, wild herbs and a fine, dusty tannin that turns velvety with age; riserva and superiore versions carry oak and can go fifteen years. Cantina Santadi set the standard with Terre Brune in the 1980s and still dominates the category.

If you make Carignano del Sulcis, import it, or know who does, the form takes two minutes and I reply to every one.

Can you help me get one?
