Castel del Monte Bombino Nero DOCG
Italy's only DOCG reserved for rosato. Bombino Nero is a thin skinned, late ripening grape that gives pale strawberry colored wine with red currant, sour cherry, watermelon rind and a faint bitter almond note on the finish. Acid is bright, alcohol moderate (12 to 13%), and the best bottles have real grip and salinity rather than candy sweetness. Drink young and cold with seafood or fried food.
