Colli Albani DOC

The white DOC on the Castel Gandolfo side of the Alban Hills, Frascati's less famous neighbor. Same volcanic soils, same Malvasia and Trebbiano blend, same soft, low acid, pear and almond profile; the abboccato version keeps a little sweetness. Once a huge volume DOC feeding Rome's trattorias, it has shrunk to a fraction of that and the Fontana di Papa cooperative is almost the only bottler left.

Still hunting

I'm still looking for a bottle of this.

If you make Colli Albani, import it, or know who does, the form takes two minutes and I reply to every one.

Can you help me get one?
