Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio DOCG
Moscato Giallo grown on the volcanic soils of the Euganean Hills, sold in three shapes: a sweet, gently sparkling spumante in the Asti mold, a dry still version, and a passito from dried grapes. The spumante smells of orange blossom (hence the name), apricot and sage, is lightly sweet, and finishes cleaner than Asti thanks to a bitter citrus-peel note. The passito is honeyed and dense, around 100 to 150 grams of sugar, with candied orange and a slightly resinous finish. It's the Veneto's answer to Moscato d'Asti and deserves more attention than it gets.
