Colli Lanuvini DOC
A Castelli Romani DOC on the southern, warmer slope of the Alban Hills, historically a white DOC of Malvasia and Trebbiano and since 2011 also red. The whites are soft, pear and almond Roman whites in the Frascati mold; the reds, mostly Montepulciano and Merlot, are plummy and simple. Cantine Silvestri in Lanuvio is the one estate consistently bottling under the name.
