Contessa Entellina DOC

Another single estate DOC in practice, drawn around Donnafugata's hilltop vineyards at 200 to 600 meters. Mille e una Notte, a Nero d'Avola led blend, is dark, plush and spicy with black cherry, licorice, balsamic and toasty oak, and it's the reason the appellation exists on US shelves. Chiarandà is a barrel fermented Chardonnay with tropical fruit and hazelnut. The lesser Donnafugata wines have mostly moved to Sicilia DOC.
