Delia Nivolelli DOC
Named for two rivers in the Marsala hinterland, this DOC covers the same warm coastal vineyards that feed Marsala and bulk Sicilia DOC. The wines are ripe and straightforward: Grillo with citrus, green herbs and a saline edge; Syrah and Nero d'Avola with jammy black fruit, soft tannin and warm alcohol. Almost every grower prefers the Sicilia DOC name, so Delia Nivolelli bottles are a rarity even in Trapani.
