Gambellara DOC

Soave's neighbor on the Vicenza side of the line, same black basalt hills and same grape, but with a smaller reputation and lower prices. Garganega here is dry, medium bodied and mineral, with green apple, white flowers, a smoky, flinty note and a bitter almond finish. Angiolino Maule of La Biancara is the zone's famous name, a natural wine pioneer whose skin-contact Garganega changed how a generation thinks about the grape. Zonin is headquartered here and makes a clean commercial classico.

Still hunting

I'm still looking for a bottle of this.

If you make Gambellara, import it, or know who does, the form takes two minutes and I reply to every one.

Can you help me get one?
