Mandrolisai DOC
A mountain blend from the center of the island, where old bush vines of Bovale, Cannonau and Monica are often co-planted and co-fermented. The wines are mid weight and savory: sour cherry, blackberry, pepper, wild fennel, a mineral iron note and firm, slightly rustic tannin, with the acidity that comes from vineyards at 600 meters or more. Recently rediscovered by the natural wine crowd, and Fradiles has given it a US presence.
