Merlara DOC

A tiny flatland DOC on the Padua side of the Adige, created for the Cantina di Merlara cooperative and a handful of growers. The whites are light Tai and Malvasia blends, floral and simple; the reds are soft Merlot and Cabernet with a bit of Marzemino, all meant for drinking young. Nothing here is ambitious, but the Marzemino frizzante and the Malvasia are pleasant local table wines. Almost the entire output is sold within a few kilometers.

Still hunting

I'm still looking for a bottle of this.

If you make Merlara, import it, or know who does, the form takes two minutes and I reply to every one.

Can you help me get one?
