Montecarlo DOC

A hill village near Lucca where French white grapes (Sémillon, Roussanne, Sauvignon, Pinot Bianco) were planted in the 1800s and still go into the DOC's traditional Trebbiano-based white. The result is unusual for Tuscany: a fuller, waxy white with pear, chamomile, hazelnut and soft acid, sometimes wood-aged. Reds are Sangiovese-Merlot-Syrah blends, supple and fruity. Fattoria del Buonamico, Fattoria del Teso and Fattoria Michi are the names.

Still hunting

I'm still looking for a bottle of this.

If you make Montecarlo, import it, or know who does, the form takes two minutes and I reply to every one.

Can you help me get one?
