Montefalco DOC

Montefalco Rosso is the everyday red of Sagrantino country: a Sangiovese-based blend with a dose of Sagrantino for color and grip, sometimes with Merlot or Cabernet. Expect dark cherry, plum, dried herbs, a little cocoa and tannin that is firm but nothing like the DOCG. The riserva adds oak and depth and can age eight to ten years. The Bianco, once dull Trebbiano, is now often built on Trebbiano Spoletino and can be genuinely interesting. Every Sagrantino producer makes a Rosso, and they're among the best-value reds in central Italy.

Can you help me get one?
