Nuragus di Cagliari DOC
Nuragus is a high yielding native white once the island's most planted grape, now mostly pulled out in favor of Vermentino. At its best it's a light, crisp seafood white: green apple, citrus, white flowers, a faint bitter almond note, modest alcohol and a clean, slightly saline finish. Nothing complicated, but well made examples from Argiolas or Dolianova are refreshing and cheap.
