Ortrugo DOC

Ortrugo is a native Piacenza white whose name means 'the other grape', which tells you how it was once regarded. Today it's the region's everyday fizzy white: pale straw, green apple, white flowers, a hint of almond, light body, crisp acid and a faint bitterness on the finish. It's meant to be drunk within a year with fried food and salumi. Not profound, but honest and pleasant.

Still hunting

I'm still looking for a bottle of this.

If you make Ortrugo, import it, or know who does, the form takes two minutes and I reply to every one.

Can you help me get one?
