Sciacca DOC

A coastal DOC around the fishing and spa town of Sciacca, with a Rayana subzone in the hills toward Caltabellotta. Whites from Inzolia and Grecanico are light and lemony; reds blend Nero d'Avola with Merlot or Cabernet for a plummy, soft, sun baked style. Like its Agrigento neighbors it has been largely abandoned in favor of Sicilia DOC and very few bottles carry the name.

Still hunting

I'm still looking for a bottle of this.

If you make Sciacca, import it, or know who does, the form takes two minutes and I reply to every one.

Can you help me get one?

Cantine Settesoli (Menfi cooperative, draws from the Sciacca zone)
Sciacca Rosso (if bottled)
The giant Menfi cooperative has members inside the Sciacca boundary but labels its Mandrarossa and Settesoli wines Sicilia DOC; ask for any DOC Sciacca bottling locally.
