Venezia DOC

A large umbrella DOC created in 2010 to put the Venice name on the plain's Pinot Grigio, Merlot and sparkling wines, sitting alongside the Piave and Lison-Pramaggiore DOCs that it overlaps. Pinot Grigio is the main product, clean, pear-scented and neutral, aimed at the same market as delle Venezie; the reds are soft plains Merlot and Cabernet; the Raboso rosato and pink spumante are the local touches. Bottega, Le Contesse and Villa Sandi use the DOC for export bottlings. Serviceable rather than distinctive.

Still hunting

I'm still looking for a bottle of this.

If you make Venezia, import it, or know who does, the form takes two minutes and I reply to every one.

Can you help me get one?
