Vermentino di Sardegna DOC
The island wide Vermentino DOC and the most exported Sardinian wine of any kind. Lighter and simpler than Gallura DOCG: lemon, green apple, white flowers, a hint of Mediterranean herb and that sea salt bitterness on the finish, at 12 to 13% alcohol. It's the definition of a seafood white and a very safe buy under twenty dollars.
