Cirò's neighbor to the south with the same grapes and similar clay-limestone hills near the Ionian Sea, but almost no recognition. In practice it exists because Librandi bottles its Asylia range under the name. The red is a lighter, earlier-drinking Gaglioppo with cherry, dried herbs and moderate tannin; the white is a crisp, citrusy Greco. Think of it as junior Cirò at a junior price.
