Molise DOC
No strip issued. I'm still hunting a bottle.
The regional DOC that covers everything the older Biferno and Pentro zones did not, and today the workhorse label for Di Majo Norante, which makes most of the Molise wine sold abroad. The varietal Aglianico is the standout: black cherry, smoke, dried herbs and firm tannin at a fraction of Campanian prices. Falanghina and Greco whites are fresh and citrusy. Don Luigi, the riserva, is the region's most ambitious red.
